Annaprasana is a celebration of the baby’s introduction to solid foods(anna means “rice” and prasana means “to enter”)..
It is usually conducted in the 6th day of 6th month 6day, for you it came on feb 8th 2012 so have decided that first we need to celebrate this occasion in temple simply after that celebrate grandly at home.
On feb 8th celebrations at Kanakadurgamma temple in Dilsukh Nagar.The ceremony included Pooja ,than feeding Rice Kheer, where the following objects – Book,Pen, Knife,Gold,Money,Silver were placed in front of you to pick,In this u have picked first gold and then book...it is direction or symbolize ur future.
And grandly we celebrated the annaprasana at home on feb 19th 2012.
